Our Manchester Hale and Sale classes celebrate their 10th Anniversary November 2010 - Congratulations!

ON FRIDAY 2ND DECEMBER 2005 - INVERCARSE HOTEL
Dorothy Dobson held a luncheon to celebrate over 25 years of Over 60's Exercise Classes.
Around 200 people attended the luncheon which was held at the Invercarse Hotel. The event was hosted by Patron Dr Mary, Dowager Countess of Strathmore.
She made presentations of “Long Service Awards” to class members who have been exercising for more than 25 years.
Sixteen of these certificates were awarded in total, with 13 presented at the event.
Head of Health and Ageing at Dundee University Professor Marion McMurdo and University Chaplain the Rev Dr Fiona Douglas made speeches.
Billy Anderson of the band Albany composed a tune for the occasion, to which those who attended the event danced a Gay Gordons.
A raffle was also held in aid of the Dundee Disabled Children’s Association, to help fund activities and holidays for children who attend the organisation’s new premises at Lawton Road.
“It was absolutely splendid and we had a whole lot of different things happening,” said Dorothy after the luncheon.
“It was a thoroughly enjoyable day.”
